NVQ Level 2 Construction Qualifications

A Level 2 NVQ is the standard qualification for skilled operatives, and the usual route to the blue CSCS Skilled Worker card. It is assessed on your own jobs, with no classroom and no written exam.

What does an NVQ Level 2 prove?

It proves you can carry out your trade to a national standard, based on work you have actually done on site.

Do I have to be working to take an NVQ?

Yes. An NVQ is assessed on the work you actually do, so you must be working in the occupation you want to be qualified in.

Can you assess me if I am self-employed?

Yes, as long as you are working in the occupation. Evidence comes from your own jobs and from clients or colleagues who can confirm your work.

How much does it cost?

Prices are shown on every qualification and course page. Level 2 NVQs are £650 + VAT, Level 4 from £1,000 + VAT, Level 5 £1,200 + VAT, Level 6 £1,500 + VAT and Level 7 £1,800 + VAT.
