What the gold advanced craft card is for
The gold CSCS Advanced Craft card is for highly skilled craft workers with advanced qualifications.
What you need to apply
- Hold an NVQ or SVQ Level 3 in your craft, or another accepted advanced qualification
- Pass the CITB HS&E test for your card type
- Apply to CSCS with your qualification and test details
CSCS sets the rules and they can change. Confirm the current requirements and fees on cscs.uk.com before you apply.

Frequently asked questions
Is gold Advanced Craft the same as gold Supervisor?
No. They are separate gold cards. Advanced Craft is for advanced skills in your craft. Supervisor is for people who supervise others and hold a supervisory qualification.
Do you offer a Level 3 NVQ?
