Which CSCS Card Do I Need?
Your card depends on the work you do and the qualification you hold. Applying for the wrong card wastes time and money, so it is worth checking first.
The main cards
- Green Labourer: for labourers and general operatives.
- Blue Skilled Worker: for qualified tradespeople.
- Gold Advanced Craft: for advanced craft workers.
- Gold Supervisor: for people who supervise others.
- Black Manager: for managers.
How to check
Use the official card finder at cscs.uk.com, which asks about your occupation and qualifications. If you have experience but no certificate, a work-based NVQ may be the missing piece.
